Experience ancient Rome, scenic Tuscany and the splendour of the Italian Riviera with our exclusive 8 nights-9 day Rome, Tuscany and Riviera Portrait Tour. Let us take care of all of the details and you are free to enjoy art filled days and delicious evenings in some of Italys most extraordinary places.

Our Commitment is to guarantee any departures even with 2 participants. For groups traveling with a minimum of 7 people, a tour leader will escorted the group from the arrival until departure. In case of the number of people traveling will be less or equal to 6, the tour will be operated by a tour host. The tour host will visit daily the guests and will assist them at check-in in any single hotel. The tour host will escort the guest to the restaurants when the dinner is included. The tour host is available 24 hours by phone.

For the Portovenere part of the tour, all the services will be private. The passengers are provided at their arrival with a Travel Packet with information, maps and an itinerary with details, tips and emergency toll free number.

Day 1 (Friday): Rome

(Welcome Cocktail and Dinner)

Welcome to Italy!

Upon arrival at Rome airport collect your luggage and meet the driver to be transferred to your hotel. We’ve left the rest of your day free to explore the Eternal City. Return to your hotel in time for an evening meeting with your tour host, who will provide an overview of the destinations you will visit on the tour. This is your opportunity to learn all about the tour program, receive tour literature and ask questions. Overnight in Rome.

Day 2 (Saturday): Rome

(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

After breakfast, meet your guide to live the history of ancient Rome. This itinerary will give you the opportunity to learn about its mythical origins, the thousands years of history and legendary heroes who made Rome “Caput Mundi with a visit to the Colosseum. Once inside, breathe the bloody past of the amphitheatre and its atmosphere lead by expert guides with a passion for the Colosseum and its history. At the end of the tour you will stop for lunch. In the afternoon transfer to the Vatican for a guided tour which includes the entrance fee for the Museum. The Vatican is home to some of the world’s most significant art pieces. The masters of ancient Greek and Roman art are represented amongst the Vatican collection. Today you will view the works of Raphael, Michelangelo and many others. Your tour will also take you to the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. When your Vatican tour ends, return to the hotel by private coach. In the evening you’ll enjoy a delicious Italian dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Rome.

Day 3 (Sunday): Rome

Eat Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will have the whole day to explore Rome at your leisure. Overnight in Rome.

Day 4 (Monday): Rome – Siena – San Gimignano – Florence

(Breakfast and Lunch)

Meet your driver in the morning, ready for departure to Siena. The drive itself will take you on a magnificent path along the roads of Tuscany. Enjoy stunning views of hills covered by vineyards and olive trees. Catch a glimpse of original bell towers as you pass through small villages along the way. Upon arrival in the city, meet with your local guide and head out for a walking tour of Siena. This is probably Italy’s loveliest medieval city. At the heart of Siena is Il Campo, the Square where the famous horse race Il Palio takes place twice every summer. Enjoy a wine tasting with typical cheeses and salami.

After lunch you’ll continue your journey to Florence with a stop en route at the UNESCO World Heritage site in San Gimignano. We’ve made sure you will have Free time to enjoy this fascinating medieval style village on your own before traveling on to your destination. Arrive in Florence late afternoon. Check-in at your hotel and spend an evening relaxing. Overnight in Florence.

Day 5 (Tuesday): Florence

(Breakfast)

Enjoy a guided morning walking tour of the city. Florence was transformed into the cradle of the Renaissance by Lorenzo de Medici, who attracted the best artists, architects and writers of the time to the city. Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli were among the artistic geniuses to whom he commissioned various works. Visit the most famous locations in Florence: Piazza della Signoria; Palazzo Vecchio; the Dome with Giotto’s bell tower; Ponte Vecchio; Santa Croce and Academia Gallery. Spend your free time in the afternoon exploring Florence on your own. Visit the Uffizi, or take the opportunity to visit Pisa or Lucca. Venture out in the evening for Dinner at a classic Tuscan restaurant. Overnight in Florence.

Day 6 (Wednesday): Florence – Chianti

(Breakfast and Dinner)

After breakfast the day is at your leisure. You can just relax and take a walk on the beautiful streets of Florence, visit the Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace or opt for an excursion to Pisa, Montepulciano and Montalcino, Assisi and Cortona and many others. In the late afternoon (around 5:30pm), transfer to Chianti area for an unique experience. Enjoy the view of the beautiful hills covered by vineyards and have a fantastic dinner in a farmhouse accompanied with Chianti wine. Return to Florence in the late evening.

Day 7 (Thursday): Florence – Pisa – Portovenere

(Breakfast and Dinner)

After breakfast, your driver will meet you at the hotel and escort you through the Tuscan countryside to Pisa. In Pisa, you will meet your local guide and enjoy an informative tour of this enchanting city. Pisa is most famous for its Leaning Tower, but the ancient Maritime Republic offers incredible sights like the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracle’s), the beautiful marble Baptistry and many other architectural masterpieces. At the end of the tour, you will proceed to Portovenere on the Italian Riviera. Dinner will be served in a traditional restaurant. Overnight in Portovenere.

Day 8 (Friday): Cinque Terre – Portofino

(Breakfast and Dinner)

Today you will meet your tour guide after breakfast and spend your day exploring the breathtaking towns of the Cinque Terre on a boat in the Mediterranean sea. You will make stops in the colorful villages of Monterosso and Vernaza. In Monterosso you are free to explore a bit and then you will meet your driver and be driven to Portofino to admire the spectacular colors of late afternoon. In the evening you will return to Portovenere and enjoy a tasty dinner of regional specialities. Overnight in Portovenere.

Day 9 (Saturday): Portovenere – Genoa

(Breakfast)

Today you will depart for home. Rise early and meet the driver to make your way to Genoa airport or train station.
