Many of you probably watched, either in person or on television, Italy ring in the New Year with magnificent fireworks displays and concerts the cities of Rome, Venice, Naples and Milan. Now that we’re all settling into the routine of the New Year, invigorated by the fresh start aspects and possibilities, we’d like to share some of what’s ahead in 2012 with our wonderful community. We plan to make it an outstanding year for everyone who shares our passion for travel to Italy, the most beautiful place in the world!
Tour Italy Now has exciting plans for 2012, from new travel offers — to be unveiled in the coming months — to an exciting editorial calendar for our social platforms. We’ll continue to bring you a great mix of information about Italy and all things Italian, always with stunning photographs. (Isn’t the one above, of Venice at dusk, amazing? It’s one of our favorites!) On the blog, we’ll be adding city profiles as well as pegging posts to Italian events and celebrations and highlighting Italian travel spots that are off-the-beaten track. Of course, we’ll also be writing the occasional philosophical piece about the wonders of travel to Italy. When all of this comes together, we hope it will provide great information for those of you who’ve already booked travel to Italy and inspire those of you who are thinking about planning your dream trip. In case you haven’t noticed, we see that the euro is dropping, so, nudge, nudge, 2012 could be the best time to go in years!
Tour Italy Now is picking up its Twitter activity, too. Dominic’s been tweeting all sorts of items, both timely and timeless, so remember to follow Tour Italy Now at @TourItalyNow. Remember to retweet any of our tweets that strike a chord with you. Remember that you can also favorite any tweets that link to travel information you want to keep within easy reach too. We’re really seeing how nicely Twitter rounds out Tour Italy Now’s social community.
