Seven Must-See’s And See-What-Happen’s in Verona

This week’s Guess Where? photo was Verona, and what an appealing place this city turned out to be to the Tour Italy Now community. In fact, as we post this, you’re still clicking up a storm over on Facebook about this magical city made famous around the world by William Shakespeare and his play “Romeo and Juliet.” Having never been to Verona myself, yours truly decided to do a little clicking around and start of list of things I’d love-love to do when I get to Verona. And please notice I wrote “when” not “if!” I’m getting there, for sure. I hope you will be, too!

We’re going to make these short and sweet and let you discovery them, as desktop/laptop travelers in anticipation of your next Italy vacation, with links from the Veona Tourism website!

1. Must-See: Romeo and Juliet

Apparently the Casa di Giuletta gets lots of giggling middle and high school students, so be prepared for that adolescent ambiance and enjoy!

2.Must-See: Arena

Wow I’d do my darnedest to see a performance here. Here’s another website.

3. See-What-Happens: The streets of Verona.

Walk and discover, with the above itinerary or a variation of your own.

4. Must-See: Piazza del Erbe

A place to meander, ruminate, ask for gelato recommendations.

5. Must-See: The Scaligeri Arch and Tombs

6. Must-See: Castelvecchio

Another great bridge. Gosh, the Italians make impressive bridges.

7. See-What-Happens: The Museums

Museo Archeologico – Regaste Redentore 2 | Tel: +39 045 800 0360

Museo Civico di Storia Naturale – Lungadige Porta Vittoria 9 | Tel: +39 045 807 9400
