A few months ago we got word of an exciting new website and travel promotion project, Can’t Forget Italy. The effort, dubbed Digital Diary, dispatched a team of photographers and videographers, seven in all, all under age 35, to shoot up a storm in off-the-beaten-path corners of Italy’s Basilicata region in the south, located in what might be considered the “arch” of the heel. The Digital Diary was also a contest, and Matthew Brown, a videographer from Seattle, won the prize. His video is amazing! We are delighted to share this virtual Italy tour with you.
We love that this campaign highlights the young and hip, but of course we will always embrace the old and the new, the high and the low, the old and now, the hip and the traditional. So, here’s hip, a stunning virtual tour. Check out the amazing photo gallery for more images of this innovative Italy promotion.
The approach of this virtual Italy tour is more documentary than promotional. We like that. We also want to call your attention to one of Can’t Forget Italy’s partners, Urban Italy. It’s one of our favorite websites about Italy. We blogged about it last summer, HERE, and will likely blog about it again!
