Absolutely true.October is a great time to travel to Italy, however how can you not have a great time in Italy at any time of the year. My husband and I had a great time on the Dolce Vita Tour Oct 2011 with Tour Italy now. We got a good taste of Italy travelling through Rome, Florence and Venice stopping in some quaint cities like Assisi, Siena, Bologna, Padova and Montepulciano. The food and wine were great and the desserts were to die for. We were very lucky with weather cooperating. Our tour director was awesome, giving us great ideas to explore the cities on our own too. Every detail of the trip was taken care off, from pick up at the airport, tours through cities and drop off at airport after tour. Great thing about tours is you do not have to stand in line to get into the major city sites which can have long lines. Definitely recommend this tour and company.
