Italy Big Three

Hey, it’s Dom with Tour Italy Now.

Isn’t it great to see the trees and colorful flowers in bloom now that spring has arrived? And just think… summer is just around the corner. As soon as summer nears, I think about vacation and so do a lot of my friends. Vacation is a great time to enjoy new experiences and explore new worlds.

A few days ago, my friend Beth talked to me about her vacation and a possible first trip to Italy, one that will probably last a week or two. She wondered what she might do and see on her inaugural visit to a country that’s become such a popular travel destination. Head to “The Big Three”, I told her.

If you’re somewhat familiar with Italy, you’ve probably already realized that “The Big Three” refers to Italy’s most popular cities – Rome, Venice, and Florence. Located in different parts of the country, each has something unique to offer visitors, but a little time spent in each of those three cities will provide the first time visitor with a good overview of the country.

  • Rome – History lovers adore Rome and its many archaeological and architectural wonders. Visit the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, and the remains of many of ancient Rome’s most notable buildings and monuments. Toss a few coins in the Trevi Fountain and tour the city’s magnificent cathedrals and the museums of the Vatican. Awesome!

  • Venice – This amazingly romantic Italian city is at the top of the list for many travelers. Explore the city by gondola, visit famous St. Mark’s Square, the Doges Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs, or tour a glass factory in Murano. Venice is unforgettable and you’ll want to return again and again just to take in the magic of this breathtaking city.

  • Florence – Italy’s most cultural city is a joy to explore. The gateway to the Tuscan region, Florence offers incredible museums, like the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery, where you’ll find Michelangelo’s David. You’ll also want to visit the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Baptistery of St. John. Save time for some shopping and a sumptuous Tuscan meal.

Tour Italy Now offers several escorted tours that introduce first time visitors to the joys of “The Big Three”, or you can design your own customized trip that takes you to all the sites in Italy you’ve always wanted to explore. We also offer great group excursions, so gather your closest friends and family and head to Roma, Firenze, and Venezia for an unforgettable vacation of sightseeing, eating, shopping, and much more.v

Ciao for now and we’ll see you in Italy!

Dominic
